In case you didn’t know, Rachel Allen loves soup. Here she chats about her new cookbook Soup Broth Bread, sharing a few of her delicious recipes for you to try.

It has been about four years since bestselling cookery writer, teacher and TV chef Rachel Allen has published a cookbook and this one reflects her love for soup. Rachel teaches at the Ballymaloe Cookery School in Cork and as we discover, this latest book reflects her unwavering passion for soup and all it has to offer. ‘I am always talking about soup,’ laughs Rachel. ‘My mum was a great soup maker and my sister is also a really good cook – she and I are always sharing soup recipes. I’m also very passionate about broths and stocks; a really good stock truly makes all the difference when you are cooking.
