Welcome

In this February issue we bring the latest additions to help make your house a much-loved home full of warmth and ambience with our interior feature on woodburning, gas and electric stoves all of which not only create attractive focal points, but add a cosiness to your interior spaces, as well as flooring, the choice of which can really make all the difference to the various rooms throughout your home.

Our four readers’ homes include Aoife Tobin’s Co. Kerry home with an interior that not only pays homage to its surroundings of the breathtaking views of the Skellig Islands, but also asserts itself as a distinctive and compelling statement. Niamh and her husband Stephen embark on a search for a property that will resonate with their desire for a serene coastal lifestyle and find the perfect dwelling in Cultra, Co. Down. Home to Sarah and Liam Lennon, a strikingly contemporary new build in Co. Galway is built to take full advantage of the surrounding stunning views and finally, in Newry, Co. Down, this family home is a blend of architectural elegance and familial warmth.

More than ever, the way we furnish our homes is about expressing our personalities – showcasing to the world who we are and what we love. In interiors, everyone has a thing and in this issue four leading Irish creatives offer an abundance of inspiration, championing their personality led interiors, expressing what their personal ‘interiors thing’ is.

As for our cookery pages, renowned chef Sunil Ghai brings easy-to-create Indian dishes to homes across Ireland from his debut book, Spice Box. We also catch up with Marty O’Neill who takes us on a trip to Iceland to explore the land of fire and ice. Gardening with Conrad McCormick focuses on caring for Tillandsia airplants and there’s lots of love for our Irish brands and makers in #madeinireland!

Enjoy!
