Welcome

Welcome to our April issue – yes, we are well on the way to Easter here at IHIL and this issue is full of new spring interior styles and interior trends from fringing to the art of Japandi!

We take a closer look at the emerging trends for the home when it comes to the walls and floors. Today, there really is no end to what you can achieve from your home décor and the finishes of both your walls and floors can make a huge impact.
Our readers’ homes take us to a sympathetic restoration in Kilquiggan, Co. Wicklow, where two cottages have been returned to their former glory. In Dublin a mews style house has been beautifully redecorated to reflect the owner’s personal style and in Belfast we visit a stunning modern new build, which is now the perfect family home full of style and practicality.
We also highlight a contemporary reader’s kitchen and if you’re after some more culinary inspiration we look at how you can add a pop of colour into your cooking spaces.
This issue we also chat to one of Ireland’s best loved chefs, Neven Maguire who recommends his favourite spring dish for you to try at home and we have even more recipes from the creative team at Gifford Circus and their unique restaurant Circus Sauce.
There’s all your favourite travel and gardening pages and new additions include our Hotel Hotlist and how you can bring luxe hotel interior inspo into your own home, as well as My Favourite Room where we get to catch up with various personalities and bring you into their most loved interior spaces.
