A love of antiques and a skilful use of colour has brought a fresh elegant style to this once tired Georgian house in Wexford.

For some years, it had been Michael’s ambition to own a venerable old property in the country with plenty of space to entertain family and friends. Having grown tired of living in the city and wanting his children to have a country upbringing Michael concentrated his search in Co. Wexford where he stumbled across the home of his dreams. ‘I saw a tiny advertisement in the paper and thought the house sounded interesting, so went along to view it on a dreary and dingy day, the house shone through the gloom, with it’s lovely proportions and long sash windows, and its wealth of original features, so I knew it could be made into something special,’ says Michael.
