A Charming Design

Colin and Aoife wanted a handmade and beautifully designed Neptune kitchen that would bring a modern twist to their period property in Tipperary. After a visit to Deanery Furniture, the couple knew that they were the company that would bring their dream kitchen to life.

Our house was built in 1810. When we moved in we undertook a complete renovation project. The previous kitchen was an old beech kitchen which the owner had built using timber from a beech tree she had removed from the gardens. It was dated and quite shabby, but we actually re-used it in our utility room by painting it with Neptune colours. When we visited Deanery Kitchens showroom we thought it was superb and especially loved all the Neptune products that were on display.’

After seeing the Suffolk kitchen from Neptune in the showroom they fell in love with the modern shaker style, coupled with traditional features like dovetailed drawer boxes, zig-zag shelving and butt hinges. At that point the couple decided to relocate the existing kitchen to another part of the house and use it as a utility room so that they could have their dream kitchen in the space they loved.
