In Foxrock, Dublin, this beautiful home to a family of six has been reshaped by design company Colin Maher, creating a living space that has become the true hub of the home.

From an opulent illuminated wine cellar to intricate woodwork on every turn, a blend of soft lines and a clean palette this kitchen is a spectacular feat. ‘The house was a self-build, so we were not constrained by any pre-existing elements on the structural side, which gave us a lot of opportunity to be expressive,’ the homeowner began. ‘We started with the island; we loved the island in our old home, but it felt very compact for the six of us. So, we resolved to incorporate an oversized version in the new house – three meters long with integrated appliances on the functional side and storage on the other under a row of bar stools.
