Drumbriston the Sofa Maker is a family business manufacturing sofas for nearly 40 years and is now into its second generation. Producing top quality upholstered sofas and chairs since 1980, Drumbriston now has over 20 different sofa designs available in 1000s of fabrics.
As well as years of experience, what sets Drumbriston apart is the fact that all of their sofas and corner sofas can be completely made-to-measure because they are all made by their highly skilled craftsmen and women, some of whom have been with them from the very beginning.
As Director Paul Treanor comments, ‘All our sofas are made from solid beech frames and come with a 25 year frame guarantee. We can also offer different levels of seat foam options, for example – soft, medium or firm and seven different leg colours. So, if you’re looking for a corner sofa to fit a particular size or an extra large sofa for lounging on, then we are only too happy to talk you through all of the available options.’
Named after the townland where the business was started, Drumbriston’s original premises in Carrickroe has been expanded twice from its 500 sq ft beginnings to its present size of 16,000 sq ft, and they now have two showrooms located at The Linen Green, Dungannon and Rossmore Factory Outlet in the town of Monaghan.
However, as the business continues to grow, the goals are still the same as they were in the beginning; to make comfortable, quality sofas that will last for years to come. As Paul adds, ‘We have customers that bought their first sofa over 30 years ago, and are now bringing their children back to assist them with their first sofa. We hope to be welcoming back a third generation of customers in another 30 years!’
