Mairead and John’s summer home on Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire draws inspiration from its stunning unspoilt surroundings, with natural materials and textures enhancing its effortlessly cool New England vibe.Nestled in the lakes region at the foothills of the White Mountains, this unique hideaway enjoys spectacular views of some of New England’s most rugged mountain ranges. Built in 2020, with a stunning bespoke interior scheme curated by Geri O’Toole of Geri Designs, the project was completed in 2022, ready for its owners, Mairead and John to enjoy relaxing summer holidays away from their other homes in California and Ireland. ‘Our main inspiration behind the design and style of the house was to create a fresh, homely feel that would be inviting and comfortable for welcoming and entertaining family and guests,’ says Mairead.
With the build under construction, the couple focused their thoughts on the interior scheme throughout and had no doubt over which interior designer they would commission to take their vision from concept to completion. ‘We worked with Geri (O’Toole of Geri Designs) before on another house and we loved what she created with us, so we knew we wanted to work with her again. As soon as we bought the house and it was in construction, we got in touch with Geri.’
