Once a warren of bedsits, Helen and Owen have beautifully restored this elegant period property with the addition of a starkly modern extension. They now have their perfect family home in Dublin city centre.When Helen and Owen first viewed this property back in 2008 it was a far cry from the elegant home it now is. ‘The house was divided up into a series of seven bedsits, it hadn’t been touched since the 1960s so it was in very poor condition and very dated,’ says Owen. The couple could see it had huge potential and the location was ideal, only a ten minute stroll from Grafton Street in Dublin’s city centre, so a perfect commute for Owen’s work.
