Explore Edinburgh City

Enjoy a warm welcome in Scotland’s capital with its historic sights, shopping, restaurants and bars.

If you are looking to enjoy some retail therapy, Edinburgh doesn’t disappoint with its mix of high street stores and beautiful boutiques. Princes Street is the place to be to keep up with high street fashion from the likes of Debenhams, New Look, House of Fraser, Zara, Primark and the historic Jenners department store. The shops are all lined along one side leaving an uninterrupted view of the castle and Old Town cityscape on the other. Running parallel to Princes Street, George Street is home to many upmarket retail stores. The street is one of the grandest in Edinburgh, with a wide thoroughfare, stunning Georgian architecture and bookended by the beautiful Charlotte and St Andrew Squares, the latter where you will find Harvey Nichols and Louis Vuitton. A stroll down the quaint cobbled streets of Edinburgh’s West End ‘Village’ is an absolute must. Situated only a minute’s walk from Princes Street, a delightful mix of designer fashion boutiques, organic food retailers, gift shops, flower and interior shopping awaits you. Edinburgh’s Grassmarket and Victoria Street are brimming with Scottish designers, artisans and independents selling world crafts, vintage clothing and antiques to gourmet food in a vibrant al fresco setting.
