Idyllically positioned on the Atlantic coast of western Co. Galway, this spectacular holiday home has been designed to embrace the beauty of the natural landscape that surrounds it.

Designed to be at one with nature, this stunning architecturally designed new build in Connemara enjoys dramatic mountain views and rugged rolling countryside with a unique changing beauty through all the seasons. Designed by architect, Michael from MJ Designs, the house was built as a home-from-home holiday retreat for Grace and her family, who also have a home in New York. While Grace had a great vision for how she wanted the house to function and flow, she knew the interior would benefit from the creative input of a good interior designer. ‘We got a referral from our bathroom supplier, Waterloo in Dun Laoghaire, so we contacted Geri O’Toole (of Geri Designs) and started small, initially feeling that we wouldn’t need as much help, but once we started, we found Geri and her team great to work with, so we used their support throughout the project, right to the finishing touches,’ explains Grace.
