Spring is in full swing and we are enjoying the lighter evenings that this time of year brings around. Our April issue is filled with lots of inspirational interiors, from all of our regulars to our jam packed main features. If you are looking for suitable flooring options, we have brought you a selection that will inspire all styles and budgets, from wood and tiles to carpet, rugs and laminate. We also take a look at the functional addition of a utility room in the home, with extra storage for all your household appliances and accessories. Speaking of functional, our sinks, taps and dishwashers feature offers everything you need to keep your kitchen squeaky clean. With Easter just around the corner, we look at ways that you can refresh the rooms in your home with the simple addition of some new furniture and accessories.

Our readers’ homes this issue take us to Enniskillen to Columba and Dawn’s stunning property with views of the River Erne and Enniskillen Castle, bringing a touch of the Hamptons to Fermanagh. Next we visit Philip and Alison’s Connemara home away from home, a beautiful lodge with traditional décor, and further south in County Wicklow, Stephen invites us to view his restored property that combines contemporary furnishings and finishes with period features.

Robinson Interiors also share with us a beautiful bespoke kitchen that they uniquely designed, which fully fulfilled the homeowners dreams.

Our cookery pages this issue take full appreciation of the potato, with delicious recipes to help inspire you to get creative with this once-upon-a-time Irish staple.

With Donegal county being crowned the ‘coolest place on earth’ we visit the town of the same name, and if you are looking for a weekend break somewhere a bit further, we look at getting the most out of a short stay in Lisbon, Portugal.

Last but not least, our gardening expert, Deirdre Prince give us advice on accessing all areas of the garden. Finally, if you have a home or know of someone that has a home that you would like to see featured in the magazine, contact editorial on 028 9147 3979 or email editorial@ihil.net
