Let There be Light

Paul and Claire’s Neptune kitchen combines bright cabinetry and worktops with brand new double glazed doors to create a bright and open kitchen in their Kildare home.

This kitchen from Neptune is refreshing and stylish because of its apparent simplicity, but this cunning design is far from simple and has been cleverly planned to make the most of the natural light that floods in from all sides. It was the element of light that was the most important aspect of this refit, as homeowners Paul and Claire wanted a fresh look as their previous kitchen didn’t make use of the natural light available.

Designer Des from Blackrock Kitchens explains, ‘The wooden beam structure of the house, while beautiful in its own right, was quite a darkening feature and a light palette of colour for the kitchen was badly needed.’ The Neptune Chichester cabinetry and Ivory Fantasy granite worktops work perfectly to fulfill the necessary changes. By combining old and new, the beams and the kitchen complement each other perfectly.
