In our May issue we are looking at lots of ways in which you can improve your home with the potential of increasing its overall value. We have some great expert tips and advice on all the main areas of the home, from future proofing your bathroom, space saving bedroom options and creating your happy place in the living room, to upgrading your kitchen and transforming your outdoors. We also look at the amazing ways in which technology is improving how we live with some of the latest in smart devices and appliances. Sometimes simply updating our walls with wallpaper or paint can make the world of difference to our homes, so we touch base with those in the know on the latest trends. Lastly in our Home Improvements feature, we look at getting the most out of extra space in the home with added storage, because we want to achieve clutter-free, practical living for a comfortable and functional home.

Our readers’ homes this issue take us to Holywood, where we visit Anna and Jamie in their beautiful home with views of Belfast Lough; and off to John’s apartment in Comber, which is steeped in history having once been the billiard room in Ardara House, and has been sympathetically styled. Further south, Kelly invites us into her Arklow home and shows us how she turned a dark space into a bright and airy home on a budget. Oliver and Kathryn wanted a well styled kitchen in their Dublin home, before Newcastle Design stepped in and transformed the space into a stunning open-plan area, perfectly fulfilling their needs.

In our cookery pages this issue, chef Michael Deane and Meat Locker head chef, Andy Provan share some delicious recipes for you to try at home. While our travel features take us to the Californian city of San Francisco to explore the sights, and we take a trip to the north coast of Ireland to experience all it has to offer.
