Flooring plays a huge role in any home, one that we often take for granted. Not only does it serve a very practical function but it can change the entire look throughout all of the rooms in your home.

Living Rooms

Your living room is a place of retreat for the entire family, so it generally has a high footfall but you also want it to be warm and cosy. Carpets are popular for the obvious reasons, it is soft underfoot and provides that warmth that we seek, but it isn’t always the most practical choice. Generally carpets are higher maintenance; they are harder to keep clean as spills can’t be wiped up as easy and dependent on thickness, they can wear under foot over time. More and more people are opting for laminate in the living room, which can mimic the look of real wood, hard stone and pretty much any other surface, and is quite cost effective, easily cared for and great durability. The downside here is that it can be cold under foot, as with tiles.
