In November 1994, Mike Keenan founded Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living. As we celebrate 30 years in business, we look back on the times and the man that started it all. Mike began working for the Belfast Telegraph in 1969, before moving to South East England where he worked on various publications. He later moved to Spain where he continued his career. However, a trip back home to Northern Ireland to help his cousin set up her new home planted the seed for an interior magazine. In just a few months, IHIL became Ireland’s largest selling interiors magazine. Due to growing demand, in 1999 we moved from Northern Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living to Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living. In 2001, Mike launched the consumer title Ireland’s Kitchen Guide and his first B2B title, Ireland’s Kitchen Trade Guide in 2009, which also brought with it the first kitchen industry awards in Ireland. More recently, we launched the Bathroom Trade Guide and also with it the awards. And now this year to celebrate our 30th anniversary, we are delighted to announce the first ever Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living awards evening! ——— For more information, visit our website: www.ihil.net Follow us on Instagram: @ihilmagazine Subscribe to Ireland’s Homes Interiors & Living for more exclusive content and interviews.
