This cliff-top property was once a neglected rural bungalow that has been lovingly transformed into an open plan, eco-friendly beach house retreat.
Boatstrand Beach House is a large bungalow perched above the sea on Ireland’s Copper Coast – a breathtaking stretch of coastline that’s also a designated UNESCO Global Geopark. It’s believed the original dwelling dates to the late 1800s, with extensions in the 1970s and 1980s doubling the original footprint. The addition of large floor-to-ceiling windows facing the sea meant that even though the house hadn’t been occupied for a long time, its potential was obvious to owner Clodagh.Read more in the August issue…
