Things to see and do

Kilkenny Castle is a must visit. This 12th century castle filled with history built in 1195 by 1st Earl William Marshal where it was an important feature of the town’s defences with four corner towers and a large ditch which is partially seen on the Parade. Festival of Food is hosted during the bank holiday 28th to 31st October, this foodie friendly event is proudly celebrated with Savour Village, where it is marking its 10th birthday.
