The Perfect Hideaway

Hideaway at Foxhollow in Co. Meath was originally built as the herd manager’s residence for a large farm and just a few short years ago it had come down far enough in the world to be used for storing hay. But June couldn’t bear to see the house become derelict.

‘My parents had bought the farm years ago; they breed cattle and racehorses and needed the extra grazing. They did put sheep on it too, but there were so many foxes resident that they had to stop; the fox population gives the house its name,’ says June.
