April 2018 – Issue 274

Spring has well and truly sprung! It is so refreshing to see a stretch in the evenings, and although the weather typically hasn’t caught up with the seasons yet, we can almost envision the milder days ahead. The April issue is jam packed with lots of informative features! We take a look at some popular flooring choices throughout the rooms in the home, with advice from some of our flooring experts and a wide selection of colours, patterns and textures.

People often treat walls as if they are dead space within the home, but there is so much more than just paint and wallpaper to bring life to your walls. We have covered a few different options to turn your walls from drab to fab, with a selection of wall murals, wall art, shelving and more. Our readers’ homes this issue take us to Holywood, County Down to a renovated 1960s, New England style home. In County Tipperary we visit a stunning thatched cottage which has been sympathetically styled with rustic, country chic interiors. In Dalkey we take a look around a beautiful restored coach house, that is light and airy with a mix of classic and contemporary stylings. Last but not least, in County Carlow Michelle and Niall show us their brand new Neptune kitchen within their new build home. With kitchens in mind, we also bring you a selection of sinks, taps and dishwashers; everything you need to keep your kitchen squeaky clean.

Our feature regulars take us off to the Spanish city of Seville to explore all it has to offer, as well as the culturally rich city of Galway on our very own Emerald Isle. Sample some utterly delicious recipes within our cookery pages, from James Martin’s American Adventure cookbook based on the TV series. Last but not least, our gardening expert Deirdre talks about drama in the garden.
