Albania Unveiled

Marty O’Neill discovers all that Albania has to offer.

The Albanian Riviera. I’ll put money on very few of you even thinking of it for your next trip away. But you really should. A quick dip your toe in type of thing, perhaps, like we did. We took a fast ferry across from the Greek island of Corfu and spent a memorable day exploring everything that the port town of Saranda had to offer. Albania is so close to the northern part of Corfu that not only can you clearly see it, but your mobile phone will want to switch over to its network. It was a lesson learned for me the following month when the mobile phone bill fell onto the doormat. Unexpected roaming charges are never good, but that’s a topic for another time.
