No stone was left unturned in this home when it underwent a full renovation and extension. Designer Rachel O’Loughlin of Red Island Interiors beautifully executed a classic aesthetic, with texture and attention to detail adding depth.

Set in Co. Kildare, this substantial family home has been comprehensively reimagined. Every surface, junction and transition has been considered, not for show, but for longevity. It is a house that rewards attention. Detail, proportion and restraint guided every decision, resulting in a home that feels grounded but beautifully elegant. ‘The house was left to some level of disrepair, and this family of six wanted it converted into an elegant home. It needed to be multifunctional with lots of different spaces. A big part of the focus was taking it back to its bones, with the intention of adding a full extension to the rear and side of the property,’ explains Rachel.
