Behind The Walls

When Betty decided to downsize she opted for a stylish new build nestled within a historic Walled Garden in East Belfast.

The Walled Garden is an exclusive development within the grounds of the former Somme Hospital where many original features remain, and it is here that Betty found the perfect home to downsize and make her own.

This home is an upside down design with the bedrooms downstairs and most of the living accommodation upstairs. ‘I wasn’t used to this novel layout, but I do like it,’ says Betty. ‘As well as all of the living accommodation upstairs I also have a large drawing room amid the sleeping accommodation downstairs.’
