January Issue - On Sale Now!
On Sale Now!

In our January issue we look at all things cosy for the home. We begin with soft flooring - the perfect foundation in a cosy setting. Over to the windows, we look at curtains and blinds and the benefit they have in keeping heat in a room. Next we explore a collection of seating options, from sofas and chairs, to chaise longues; perfect comforts for retreating to after a long day. Nothing heats up a kitchen like a range cooker; take a look through the latest selection of ranges in our feature and fulfill your inner chef. Now that all the main elements for a cosy haven are in place it is time to add in some cushions and throws to complement the rooms, and last but not least, we show you a selection of fragrances to top it all off by creating an ambience. For our homes this month we head to Co. Wicklow to visit Kate and Paul in their stunning eco home with its incredible contemporary style. Next we stop off in Tipperary to wonder at Sophie and Ian’s quaint thatched cottage, set in a picturesque setting. Pauline in Bangor wanted to find that perfect house that all her own furniture could fit in harmoniously, so when she really found her 1980s chalet bungalow she got that elusive ‘feeling’. Our reader’s kitchen this issue takes us to Majella’s home in Derry where she knocked three rooms into one and let Hayburn turn the space into the classic kitchen of her dreams; a space for all the family to gather. Our cookbook this month is Jamie Oliver’s brand new Jamie’s Comfort Food, offering lots of winter warming recipes that the whole family will love. We also have our issue regulars, with our gardening expert teaching us how to cut our own bouquets and Denise O’Connor adds to our cosy special by giving us some extra tips. All this plus so much more!
